TIM FERGUSON, MD

I started practicing family medicine with Elvin Stanton in 1983, one of the first and greatest champions of preventative medicine in Southern California from 1945 thru 1985.  When he retired in 1985, I merged our practice with Foothill Family Practice until September 2008 when I left to start “Ferguson Family Practice” (Timothy J. Ferguson, M.D., Inc.).

My staff and I are truly a team dedicated to preventing diseases and improving the quality of our patient’s lives while saving them time, money and suffering.

In less than 2 years, we have become a leader winning recognition in improving quality indicators in not only controlling, but decreasing diseases in our patients.

Measurably, we have increased weight loss and smoking cessation, lowered and controlled blood pressure, blood sugars and cholesterol.  We have met 100% of childhood and adult vaccination goals.  In our female patients, we have greatly improved pap smear, mammogram and breast self exam compliance rates.

Our IPA (Health Care Partners), some of the HMO’s and soon Medicare are measuring our patient satisfaction scores.  We have the highest area scores for shortest wait times for scheduling an appointment and waiting in the office to see me or my PA, Jessica Arenas.  Our office is often recommended to others.

We value YOUR satisfaction, however, the bottom line is keeping you healthy!  GOOD HEALTH IS NOT A GOAL….IT’S A CONSEQUENCE of your lifestyle and your commitment to set an example for your children, grandchildren, family and friends.

JESSICA ARENAS, PA-C

I attended Loma Linda University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, and then furthered my career as a Physician Assistant by attending Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles, California.  Since 1998 it has been an honor to treat patients as a Certified Physician Assistant.  To stay current in providing patients the best medicine possible, I maintain an active membership in the California Association of Physician Assistants.

The experience of helping patients improve their health, with the guidance of Dr. Ferguson, is something I look forward to each day.

My hobbies include traveling, riding ATV’s and spending time with my children.

TINA, OFFICE MANAGER

I have over 20 years of management experience.  I am available to answer any questions or help with any concern a patient may have.  I keep the office running smoothly and help keep the providers and staff organized.  One of my main goals is to keep smiles on the faces of our patients.

In my spare time, I enjoy river trips with my husband and children and spend time with my three Golden Retrievers.

JAMI, MA

I have been Dr. Ferguson’s medical assistant for over 10 years.  My goal is to answer your questions and help you obtain the care you need.  When you visit I will personally greet you at the door, bring you back to the exam room, perform injections Dr. Ferguson directs, and order the supplies the office requires to function.  When you need further assistance or help with referrals and/or lab slips, always be assured I am ready to address your medical needs.

While off work, I enjoy spending time with my son Ryan, dirt bike riding, and attending baseball games.

MELISSA, MA

I am Jessica Arenas’s medical assistant and have worked with Dr. Ferguson since 2002. I will come out and meet you at the waiting room, bring you to the exam room, provide injections that Ms. Arenas instructs me to do, order supplies, and process your referrals and lab slips. When you need our care, please call and I will assist you in whatever way possible.

While not caring for patients, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé’, shopping, working on our home, and playing with our two dogs Hurley and Roxy.

BARBARA, PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR/MEDICAL ASSISTANT

I have worked with Dr. Ferguson since 1990.  My job as patient care coordinator requires me to maintain provider organization by processing patient referrals, lab slips and making sure your electronic medical chart is complete, prior to your arrival for your appointment. This minimizes your wait time and helps keeps our staff organized.

While not working I enjoy reading, going to the theatre and spending time with family.

EVA, RECEPTIONIST/MEDICAL ASSISTANT

I am the front office receptionist at the check-out window.  It is my responsibility to assist you with making appointments, refilling your prescriptions and verifying insurance.

While not at work, I enjoy camping and spending time with my husband and two children, Aaliyah and Nicholas.

VALERIE, RECEPTIONIST

I have worked with Dr. Ferguson since 2004.  I enjoy greeting you with a smile and will usually meet you at the check-in window when you visit.  You can expect me to assist you with appointments, co-payments and insurance verification issues.  I am also bilingual for those patients wishing to converse in Spanish.

While not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching movies.

CARRIE, ACCOUNTING

My job is to maintain the accounting in the office.  My primary duties require attention to maintain “the books” of the practice.  This is done by using computers and reviewing banking and vendor documents.

I enjoy spending time boating with my family and especially going to Catalina Island.

MARIA, INSURANCE CODER

My responsibilities are to file insurance claim payments on behalf of practice. I assist the billing department in putting the correct codes on the insurance claims based on your provider’s documentation.  I also post patient co-payments and input patient information into your electronic medical record.  I have worked in this industry for over two decades and with Dr. Ferguson since 1997.

While not working, I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my son and my Boxer, Sarah.
